Hello All,
I am looking for any information or leads people might have on Vickers' Dreadnought battleship Design No. 318 as nearly accepted by the Russian Naval Ministry in late 1907. I am particularly looking for information regarding the designed ships' dimensions, arrangement, and any...
This thread was made for the Admiral Grigorovich class frigate since there isn't really one dedicated to it.
Now for the main reason I made this, Is there any credible images/specs of this frigate class? I'm specifically looking for pictures of the Admiral Essen, but any is fine.
The construction of the 2 Universal Landing Craft ( Helicopter carriers) was officially started at a ceremony today.
I haven't been following closely, and do not speak Russian, but indications out there suggest a design in the 20 000 to 25 000 ton range.

Putin announcerd that the Russians are developing a nuclear powered strategic cruise missile. Presumably it would be armed with a nuclear warhead since flying an open cycle reactor over anyone would probably be a nuclear attack anyway...

Existence of theme "leader" (ie design of future DMZ, of "remote sea zone" combatant) is known for some time, but looks like it is first photo of something that it may look like.
I'm putting this here rather than Military or Naval projects because there is currently little or no hard information available about this subject. Basically this topic is a clearing house for any information (including RUMINT) that becomes available about designs and/or related studies to...
Recently, there have being some reports going around that the 'Admiral Lazarev' (ex-Frunze) will definitely be reactivated alongside the 'Admiral Nakhimov' (ex-Kalinin). How high do you think the chances are that we'll see them back in service before late 2011, given ongoing shipyard and other...

Amateur video of Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier and its CVBG in a heavy storm. For Sovremenny class DDG, up to 50 degree bank angle was reached.

One of the most studied was Project-72 dating back to WW-II (1943) I think. Other projects include Project-69A, Project-85 and Project 1123 (Moskova concepts) before getting to the...
