KAI KF-21 Boramae (KFX Korean Indigenous Fighter program)

Its not that surprising. In 1994, when Aermacchi left the coalition with DASA to develop advanced trainer/light combat aircraft AT-2000 (later MAKO), DASA managed to keep the program alive by partnering with Denel aviation (avionics) and Korean Hyundai (manufacturing of large non-composite...

Aermacchi 1972 COIN projects (AKA "little A10")

Given that there have been tie-ins over the years between Lockheed and Aermacchi (AL-60, Lockheed choice of the MB339 for the JPATS competition, etc.), a direct Lockheed influence on the design is not totally beyond the realm of possibility, not, I'll concede, likely but by no means unthinkable.

    Italy supersonic jet fighter projects

Hmm? All the photos I've ever seen of the MB-326 prototype show it as having tandem seating and without the tip tanks.

    Aermacchi Projects

Re: Aermacchi Supersonic Trainer? PTS 2000? Before the M-346 and Mako? Ok, it took a while, and I'm convinced I have a lot of other material reagrding this topic. the problem is to find it. Anyway, this is the story. After Aeronautica Militare chose the MB-339 design for an advanced trainer...

    T-X Trainer - Boeing T-7A Red Hawk

...thanks to the end of the cold war and voilà. To say that the 346 is a mini A10 is not something that I could read static. Same mission profile (at best), less weapon (more time of exposure) and no... armor. IN your Mini you're gonna die MAXI. Not sure if that makes a good pitch for Aermacchi.

    F-20 class aircraft

...abandoned in favor of the MFI/LFI programs. BAe made the Hawk 200 but as far as I know it went nowhere. So if some country wants the aircraft of this class, they can do better thing to buy some advanced trainer/light attacker such as Aermacchi M-346, T-50 Golden Eagle or subsonic Aero L-159 Alca.

Alternative fighter for Argentine AF & Navy during Falklands war.

What kind of radar were they planning to use for target designation? Yes, which is exactly why I explained earlier in this thread that the choice for Port Stanley had to be for quality over quantity - ie. the best fighter-bomber that could operate from the short runway in limited numbers (6-8...

    NASA Space Launch System (SLS)

Yeah, I'd actually forgot these problems Boeing had with trying to outsource production of key components and how it flopped badly. This shows the importance of co-locating the factory with the design engineering facilities.

Mirage F-O Supersonic Trainer for Australia

...(before that happens, I managed to get all three side-by-side in my answer. Groovy, baby !) Note that we have a delta, a VG, and a swept-wing. Of the three, swept wing is the one that makes the more sense. (And funnily enough, in the end the RAAF got straight-wing Aermacchi for the...

Continuing relevance of the A-10 Warthog today and tomorrow?

Yes. and why not also add in some counter measures to manpad's when available. Seems better than Super Tucano and the like.

Alternative fighter for Argentine AF & Navy during Falklands war.

What is the math behind the 50% chance of being shot down for the Aermacchi? Ditto for 50% hit chance achievable for other plausible Argentinian A/C? As above - what is the math for the expected deeds of Etandards? Especially for 5+ SHars shot down by Etandards?
