I'll get some done on the weekend, my son can then show how the lander can be placed inside the top section. On the internet I found some photos of it compared to the Dragon 1/72 model of the same thing.
Quick question first though, can I post photos directly onto the forum, or does it have to...
My son has just bought that and built it up. A most impressive model I do say. It comes with some tiny figures that are to scale and measure 1/2" (12.6mm) so that makes it 1/144 scale too if anyone is interested.

Although the F-35's weren't using drop tanks --- an F-35 is nearly as big as an F-15 (comparing my models) and has almost the same amount of power but with a more efficient engine, an F-15 without any drop tanks needs the same amount of refuels. On top of that, the F-35's flew from Hill AFB...
This is a photo of the wing attachment frames (below and found on the internet) which ran through the fuselage. The exhaust and supercharger ducting ran above and below it. The wings were bolted on afterwards. However, these frames could quite easily be converted into 'banjo' frames like how the...
This photo of what is a wind tunnel model of the straight winged XP-86 (top pic) would suggest it was not related to the XFJ-1 but more like what is in the bottom photo.
The wing of this is from a P-51H as it is built all in one like a P-51 wing and carries through under the fuselage. The FJ-1...
Considering the QE Class CVF is almost as big as a Nimitz Class aircraft carrier, I find it completely baffling that they weren't built with CTOL in the first place
Some of Chadwick's early Avro 698 designs looked a bit like that arrangement, cover sheet to BSP-Jet Bombers since 1949 shows something similar.
But aren't those shapes at the wingtips just aerodynamic 'bullets' ----- ???
Yeah!, both the Hawker P.1214 and P.1216 had a hot nozzle which worked like the F-35's, and they predated the Yak-141 by some years. More like the Yak design came from info on the Hawker projects.
Nice find Hesham B)
My model has progressed a bit, but real life has prevented me from doing any model building lately. My big problem at the moment is figuring out the wing to fuselage connection, I've been slowly working it out in my AutoCAD and because I have a couple of other similar...
