Who wants to make some Project Orion artwork???

V1N4 covers early development. V1N5 will cover the USAF/NASA 10-meter designs. Further articles down the road will cover lunar logistics versions, 20-meter versions, large orions and Orion descendants.

a Sovjet nuclear puls engine ?

Yes. I don't have my references here, but Orion was referenced in the press (Av Week, Missiles & Rockets, newspapaers, etc) in 1959 or 1960. Martin cranked out a lot of nuclear pulse artwork (mostly featuring internal detonations) in the same time period.

    Shorts Starstreak Missile

Also claims of another kill by Starstreak on an Orion UAV (the Russian equivalent of Predator). Not sure on this...Orion should be up pretty high...but the wreckage is definitely from one. Can't post the tweet from The Dead District feed (post 1092) because the preceding post which appears here...

    The silliest unbuilt project

An SSBN could have a couple hundred nukes and everybody seems to be okay with that. A B1-B could have had dozens. As for Orion, there are many people who would be afraid to go into space. That doesn't make going into space, "silly".

    NASA Space Launch System (SLS)

Thanks for the links Michel Van, I am actually surprised that NASA are even considering making EM-1 a manned flight, a lot of things could go wrong on a first flight.
