From Aviation magazine 1955,

Mr. Marcel Lobelle left Fairey company,and joined Mr. R. Malcolm to later founded ML Aviation in 1946,here is a ML-120D target drone.

For U22/49 large high speed politless target,the tenders were,

GAF-Fairey Jindivik,Airspeed ?,Boulton Paul ?,Percival P.52 ?,Blackburn ?,
Westland ? and ML Aviation ML-100 ?.

Unfortunately I don't know any book or magazine speaks about
this competition in details !.
