Not bad isn't it ? ;D

I'm honestly surprised that very little of the APR material has been scanned and posted on websites or slapped into books over the years.
Jemiba said:The M-70 and the 60M (nuclear powered), the Bartini designs or the Beriev SD-MBR
were designed from the start as flying boats. IF the problems would have been overcome
(doubtful !), they could have been competitive. But these landbased bombersj with just a
strapped on planing bottom, obiously using the same power plant ,would have been
severely handicaped, to say the least ... ;D

The "Typhoon" was designed in DB Myasishchev in 1978 by Valentin Korchagin - future General Disigner of "Aviaspetstrans".
"Aviaspetstrans" was being incorporated into DB Myasishchev and "Yamal" made at the factory of DB Myasishev. Then "Aviaspetstrans" became an independent unit, but the staff were from KB Myasishev.
Stargazer2006 said:ucon, could you clarify for me the connection (if any) between Myasishchev and the Molniya series of aircraft and projects?
I was once under the impression that Molniya projects were somehow related to Myasishchev but now I'm not sure...
Myasishchev's EMZ was absorbed by NPO Molniya to work on Buran in February 1976
NPO "Molniya" comprised two design bureaus - "Burevestnik" (Chief Designer A.V.Potopalov), who had experience in creating designs of hypersonic aircraft and anti-aircraft missiles, and "Molniya" (Chief Designer M.R.Bisnovat ) which develops unmanned aerial vehicles - and EMZ (Experimental Engineering Plant) (General Designer V.M.Myasischev), which designed and tested heavy and high-altitude aircraft.
