Very good site, not only about Slingsby aircraft, but for all interested in gliders !
As an addition the Slingsby/Baynes Bat, a test aircraft for the Carrier Wing concept,
which should allow vehicles and even tanks to be fitted with jettisonable wing and towed
to the landing zone as gliders. The Bat was flight tested, but the concept eventually abandoned,
due to the availability of Gliders like the GAL Hamilcar.

I believe this sort of topic belongs in the "Designations" section.

Please keep the "Postwar" section for specific/detailed projects.

Also do not attach a whole series of different models in the same post. This makes future splitting extremely difficult.

Stargazer is quite right of course, sorry for the muddle, which happens, when two are tinkering

The Yak topic you refer to is a monstrosity and it will be duly closed and split.

Any topic that lists a manufacturer's types will be automatically transfered to the "Designations" sections.

Any type that has enough material to justify a separate topic will be split into "Early" or "Postwar" or "Aerospace".

Oops, I've said to post identification drawings, but done nothing stilly yet.

... and the last. Those are older drawings, but maybe helpful to identify a type. Especially for gliders, that's
not always an easy task, because there are often more similarities between different types, than for other
aircraft.

Very great work my dear Jemiba.

In Aero, October 1965 a planned motorised variant of the Slingsby T 49 Capstan
was shown. The wing would have been moved from the shoulder to the low position
and the cockpit placed over the wing. A 90 hp RR-Continental engine was envisaged.
Unfortuantely no designation is given,

That version's new to me, note the short fin used only on the prototype.
The T-49C, mentioned up thread, had it's engine, a 45hp Nelson, mounted on a pylon over the wing.

With it's twin leg landing gear this T 49 based motorglider amy have been one step
nearer to a light aircraft, than other contemporary motor gliders as the Scheibe SF.25
"Motor-Falke" (later produced by Slingsby, too), a way that led to the T-67 Firefly.
