The second one is one of a big nubmer of Vought´s preVFX studies, but not very often published. It is fixed wing, but not the same design as normaly published. Who wants, write me at hitechweb@szm.sk I have this pictures in printable quality - nearly 2MB each. Source: my friend from Ohio.

This is thought to be a Vought fixed wing VFX study.

First pic is a 1969 unnumbered Secoy sketch with some notable similarities in configuration but different intake design.

Next two pics via Matej.

[removed pic - same copy of pic earlier in topic - Admin]

Last pic from personal pictures of forum member shows the same model being held by the model-maker himself.

I have found pieces of drawings of the aircraft in your first two photos.
The drawings identify this model as Deep Strike 1.
When I get the drawings cleaned up a little more I will add them to this topic.

If the offer for the large files is still available I would like to get them.

Here are the two views of Deep Strike 1.

Sorry the nose is missing off of the top/bottom view, it was not on the original copy

Neat! Any clues as to timeframe, etc from the drawings?

It seems possible to be a fixed wing contemporary of the 1965 VFAX V-484, as I speculated above.

Vought's "Deep Strike 1" previously suggested as a VFX or VFAX design is now identified as a study under the 1969 RIINAA II program.

The model owned by Sir George Cox shown in American Secret Projects: Jet Fighters Page 178 is almost identical to the Navy model shown here minus wingtip AAM rails, it seems likely to be essentially the same project aimed at the USAF.

HIPAAS (HI Performance Advanced Attack System) 1968-1970 Vought project for an advanced attack aircraft. Haven't located any other drawings so far.

The model used to have AA missiles and rails: note mounting pins on wingtips.

From a poor photocopy of a September 1970 HIPAAS report are these three general arrangement sketches.
CTOL was single engine, single pilot
HIPAAS Configuration 13 was also single engine, single pilot
HIPAAS Configuration 9J/S was twin engine, with two pilots, all weather
Sorry about the quality, something is better than nothing!
