800 was a mixed bag, everything from TFX et similia to cargos and supersonic transports. And just we are at it, 700 was the same.

Greetings:

BAC...Boeing Airplane Company designations for Dyna Soar began with
Model 814 series progressing through
Model 844 series.
There were many incremental series of DS gliders from the initial 1010 model throughout the 814 series that continued into the 844 series.

Example; initial Boeing System 464L (Dyna Soar) response in March, 1958) wa;
BAC Model 814-1010 Dyna Soar I glider.

This is off the top of my head since I'm at a Library Internet computer and not at home, but it is nevertheless correct.

Gentlemen:

Here is a geneaology chart of Boeing spacecraft studies. Some or all may have made it into the model wind tunnel testing phase. I know some did, but no info on how many. perhaps this gives a peek into the late 1950s-1965 era of the Cold War space prjects.

Just to advise those interested in spacecraft projects. a 5,000 plus word article is now completed for publication in QUEST History of Spaceflight Quarterly. While most articles speak about a USAF Space Force and many AF Officers wrote a history of same, it is most always political in nature. My article is the "nuts n' bolts history of a discussed behind closed doors, "EOMSF" Earth orbital Military Space Force. By peruisng all my research and connecting numerous historical dots from post WW II, I completed an alternate view of cool but nevertheless, interest in a military satellite, space stations, trips to the moon, but pointedly...the formation of a military space force during and after Sputnik I and II. this describes formation, vehicles, missions, weapons, yup...Charlie, there really was talk of "death Rays," but such was untenable at the time, and the numerous Dyna Soar designs applied to a dozen plus missions. I expect my Military Editor will inform me if it is too sensitive or will fly. he is already squirming in wait for this 3-month nightmare that is now coherent enough to publish. Keep eyes and ears open. Will notify those at this site when it is published. The photos are phabulous!

Greetings. The EOMSF story got out of control. Now it is 6,500 words and 94 or so footnotes, os the story will be an in-depth history of the various weaponry constituting a projected Cold War era U.S. space force. I'm waiting to hear from my Military Editor and what he will say about it since I trod down unknown references to post WW II military space operations right up to and slightly beyond the initial Sputnik launches. This will be a unique look into the nuts n' bolts constituting a planned space force that would have consumed vast amounts of money just to research, build and test orbital weapons prior to paying for their operational use. Nuff said, and awaiting yay or nay from the Editor.

Thanks have have a good day.

Hi All!

Boeing Model-837 :Rumord swing-wing close-air support project for the Army to
replace Grumman Mohawk,project only.

There exists a confusion as to Model 837, which I listed as a "large series of swing-wing close-air support projects for the Army to replace the OV-1", but the picture I got from Aerofiles with that same number clearly shows one of the 869 designs. So perhaps the "837" number is all wrong... unless it is an earlier associated design?

Yes, a Dyna-Soar derived concept is also what I had... but there is no contradiction with it being codenamed "SAINT", is there?

A page devoted to the SAINT program (although Boeing is not specifically named):
