Supersonic Combat Affordable Light Trainer (SCALT) was a school project at the Politecnico di Torino.

It was presented at an aeronautical engineering conference in 2000 and the configuration drawing shows a single Honeywell F125 engine installed at an angle.

Pretty but odd...wouldn't the downward jet exhaust produce a constant nose-down pitching moment?

Don't know.

Anyway the authors claim " The adoption of an “almost-mid” wing and the idea of placing the engine (the engine front diameter is smaller than the fuselage height) with a certain inclination angle in order to allow the air ducts coming from the air-intakes (on the bottom of the fuselage to have high and effective performances at high angle of attack) to pass over the centre wing section. These choices have been made in order to obtain low aerodynamic drag and favourable stealth characteristics. A further contribution to the low detectability is given by the bending air ducts path, so the compressor blades are hidden away from the enemy radars. "
