Various DFS Projects

People I thrust know that I am a strong supporter of organized chaos
since it's helps me to keep my memory sharp. But as you see
sometimes I has it's disadventages I know. :D

Soviet era project

Indeed, but AFAIK based on wartime research work by DFS. Must admit, that sometimes I'm losing the
overview and cannot find drawings, mails and sources, although knowing for sure, that they are ....
somewhere ! Of the Soviet offspring, I once made a speculative 3-view, but about the details,
boxkite could come to my rescue.... :-\

In "Deutsche Lastensegler" by Heint Mankau and Peter Petrick, a prototype is shown, called "Robbe" (seal),
which was obviously based on the DFS 230 assault glider and is said to have been indended as a means of
transporting an unmanned weather station. There even seems to be a kit available, but I haven't found many
information about it still yet. Anybody else ?

Got "Deutsche Flugzeugbewaffnung bis 1945" (German Aircraft Armament until 1945), written by
Manfred Griehl, a good book with regards to the content, but with regards to typos and proof reading
one of the worst I have ... ::)
There are some information about the Fi 168, too. Intended as communications and ground attack
aircraft, armament is given as 2 to 4 fixed 7.9 mm guns MG 17 and a flexible MG 15 of the same
calibre for the "B-Stand" (rear gunner). Use of the 20 mm MG FF "was principally approved", I suppose
as replacement for the MG 17. If the ground attack version would have had a rear gunner, too, or
the communications aircraft (which seems to have been in direct competition to the Fi 156) only
isn't mentioned unfortunately.

I do have that book, and I do not cherish it much. Not only typos, switched captions and sketchy treatment of some massively important german aircraft weapons.
Unfortunatelly, with Herr Griehl`s passing away last November, his book on Fieseler ("Typenkompass" series by Motorbuch Verlag) is not to see light, I`afraid.

Hi,

here is in the picture one,the DFS-230 with float as a project, and in second picture the DFS-230
with Argus engines as a variant.

In the third picture, the drawing for Gotha Go.345 (as I think) with DFS-230 tail,am I
right ?.
