Hi,

Fouga CM.176 jer trainer derivative from Magister.

the Fouga CM-220 was COIN aircraft project and CM-212 was
twin engined tactical attack aircraft project powered by 1200 kg
Hispano-Suiza R-800 turbojets.
do you know Fouga CM-192 and CM-230 ?.

The CM-230 was a design from 1956 for an AOP aircraft (see :
Planeurs et Avions, Christian Castello, le Lerard).
The CM-192 I haven't still found, would look into the direction
of the CM-191, that was the Potez-Heinkel Magister derivative
with side-by-side seating. The nearby designation probably
wasn't just accidentally.

The picture may be for the Fouga CM-9.
 
Do you have any indication, from which time it is ?

it was mentioned in George Messier site,do you remember it ?.
 
Jemiba - no need: I'll point them here. Half of them are members anyway.......
 
Couldn't keep my hands from trying to figure out, what the mentioned light transport
could have looked like, roughly based on the Magister and with the engines installed
on the V-tail.
Maybe someone remembers having seen such a concept and comes up with additional
informations ? ;)

there is also anther unknown design to Fouga, the 02-937 project,it was mentioned
in Georges Messier site.
 
No indication of this cargo glider in Christians Castellos "Planeurs et Avions", sorry. It's only
mentioned, that work on such aircraft for military and civil use was started as early as 1939.

BTW, I've split all posts regarding the Magister and its predecssors/successors and derivatives

Most of what is in this brochure is now added to my web site about the history of personal jets (thanks Mark!) and in the process, I have improved some of the scans and in particular the inboard profile which was split between two pages without connection - I have reconstructed the centerline.

This was developed under Castel-Mauboussin, not the later Fouga.

It was a six-ton assault glider project from 1942, very similar to the American Laister-Kauffmann proposal.

As you'll see, this is clearly the very same three-view.

Castel-Mauboussin was the CM- in later Fouga designations, hence the amalgamation of the two.

but until this moment,we can't ID the designation of that aircraft,CM-?.
 
As I said before,there was no CM-212 (wrong designation),but the right is CM-210,

from TU 297 magazine.
