I'd like to add one into the mix. This came from a 1962 Air Progress magazine and shows a General Dynamics "GETOL" (Ground Effext Take Off and Landing) craft. Anyone here ever hear of such a thing?

Thank you very much overscan. Wow there is a lot of great information in this forum. ;D

We posted a more detailed drawing of the six-engine, swing-wing Jiminy Cricket today . Drawing is dated April 1965. Enjoy.

Codeone,You can put it here.

No, hesham. He can of course, but his goal is for people to visit the Lockheed Martin site.
If lots of people visit, they justify the existence of the whole historical section of the site.
But if you take their pics and post them here, people will not bother visiting anymore!

(I have removed the pic from your post, hesham, sorry).

Agreed. You could possibly post a small copy here to encourage visit to see the full image. Note this is not the same design however - its 17 years older, swing wing where the other is fixed wing, and different in many ways.

Thanks for explaining why we like people to visit our site for these images. No problem with posting thumbnails here. We are posting these drawings at twice the usual 1200-pixel (max) max size to show more detail.

Best,

If I could post a polite request to anyone delving into NTRS searches and posting the results? Could you please post some metasearchable data in addition to a direct link?

All of Hesham's previous links into NTRS are unusable due to the interface change (as seen above) aka "link rot".

Posting a couple of crumbs in your posting to enter into the search engine would be most helpful when they change the query interface (again). These might be the title or the document or report number (TM X-, or RM, or CR- or similar).

Thanks in advance!

Hi folks,
I haven't found the right model number and topic so far.
IMHO, i presume it as a prequel to the Convair Model 49 Advanced Aerial Fire Support System.

Most probably

Canadair/GD CL-284-1A11 (from Scott Lowther's APR) can be seen on Page 110 at American Secret Projects Vol 3 US Airlifters since 1962 George Cox and Craig Easton Ed Crecy

I have this book my dear Antonio,

and we can identify it exactly if we know its SOR or TS number, and I suspect in SOR-222,if so,I
possibly call it CL-84H or CL-84J,as another proposal to the same competition.
