hesham said:Hi flateric,
About the VT-102 & VT-107,was that mean McDDONELL Model-102 & 107 ?.
hesham said:Hi,
Old two projects from 1980s,
McDonnell Douglas AV-8E was improved AV-8B with more powerful 23.500 1b
Pegasus 11F-35 and other improvements such as LERX (leading-edge root
extensions) and AV-8SX supersonic demenstrator proposed by McDonnell Douglas
and BAe with RR/PWA propulsion sponsorship, supersonic wing, longer fuselage,
33430 1b pegasus 11F-35PCB.
Notes that they didn't mention with AV-8SX if it had a canard, that means it
was not McDonnell Model-279.

The US even could have stayed with "buy american", if McDonnel Douglas had
proceeded with the MDD 210G, an enlarged derivative of the Br.941S !

Model 279-1 if memory serves
Recently bought this photo print (wish it was the original art!) at an estate sale here in St. Louis. Estate was apparently a retired McAir photographer."..or the USAF should have purchased the French Breguet 941."
